Mendip Murmuration

The National Trust approached us to make a short documentary following school students getting out into nature and learning to mountain bike. The project was run by the brilliant Pedal Progression to help build confidence in kids who had limited cycling experience.

This ambitious project saw us document their training sessions and culminated in a 15km biking event across the countryside, known as the Mendip Murmuration.

As we couldn't yet know what stories would emerge, we utilised a range of different cameras to capture as much footage as we could. Developing the story arc from session to session, we wanted to ensure it was delivered with as much of a kids' eye view as we could.

It was an amazing and unforgettable experience being with them on the day and seeing the development in the students over the weeks as we got to know them. In this edit, we follow Lexi's story.

“Working with Wilbee was a smooth and enjoyable experience. Their communication was quick, friendly, and professional throughout. The team's creative, person-centred approach resulted in a film that beautifully captured the children's experiences and the impact of the cycling project.”
